I have an Nivida shield updated to android 6.0. despite the settings the time limited apps run when they are not supposed to. Package installer, when it sets permissions- the tablet has to be manually unlocked to set permissions.

@Richard, Don't quite understand what you meant by "the tablet has to be manually unlocked to set permissions."

when an app is installed- there is a point when permissions are set. (location, contacts, phone, etc.) this is done by package installer. this is blocked by funamo. the only way around it is to unlock the device locally. its odd because on the previous device (that died) this wasn't an issue.

We do not have this specific model but we have many customers with Android 6.0, for example the popular Nexus devices from Google. To test application control, you can add an app, for example, the Settings app to the protected app list and make sure that Funamo protection is turned on. The app should be blocked all the time.

ok, i set several apps to be time limited. then i set the limits. the apps continued to run past the limited time. I also have the controlled time set for all day as well.

Does protected app feature works? I am wondering if it is just time-limited apps feature that is not working or all app control features are not working at all.

yes it does. if i block all apps or just set them to protected, Funamo blocks it. but the time limited does not seem to be working properly. i have the device control time overlapping the time limited apps schedule. could that be the problem?

I would suggest that you test each feature individually first to isolate the possible issues. Also, the time-limited time slots that you set are "allowed" time slots. Some users are confused and expect apps are blocked during those time slots. Not sure if that's the case for you but just want to mention it for your reference.
