To make entering math equation as easy as possible, we provide a built-in math equation editor. The graphic interface is very intuitive to use and you can see the actual equation as you are editing it.

For more complex equations, you can directly enter TeX and LaTeX notation, MathML notation or AsciiMath notation in the post. If you are copying and pasting the equation from somewhere else, please make sure that you paste them in the post as plain text.

For inline equation, please use $...$ as delimiter.
For block equation, the delimiter is $...$.

For example:

$\begin{matrix} 1 & a & x^2 \\ 2 & b & y^4 \\ 3 & c & z^8 \\ \end{matrix}$

will be rendered as

$\begin{matrix} 1 & a & x^2 \\ 2 & b & y^4 \\ 3 & c & z^8 \\ \end{matrix}$

The following equation $\sum_{i=0}^n i^2 = \frac{(n^2+n)(2n+1)}{6}$ is inline.

will be rendered as

The following equation $\sum_{i=0}^n i^2 = \frac{(n^2+n)(2n+1)}{6}$ is inline.
