Trouble understanding setting time
I would like my child's device to be completely restricted from midnight to 7am.
I would like them to only be able to make a phone call from 7am to 3pm
I would like to them to be able to use any app I have not protected from 3pm to midnight
I have Device Control set for midnight to 7a. Time limit apps allowed (I have allowed only contacts so they can make a call) from 7 am to 3pm
I have no settings in the time screen for 3pm to midnight (so they can use all the apps) except now during this time they cannot make a phone call because contacts is a time limit app allowed only during school hours.
Even though I have only allowed Contacts from 7am to 3pm they can still use any unprotected app during this time.
I am so confused and I the more I try to make it work the more confused I get. Any help would be appreciated. Seems like a simple thing I am trying to do. I don't want them to use the device when they are supposed to be sleeping and I want them to only be able to make an emergency call during school and the rest of the time I want them to have full use of the device (phone and apps) except for the apps I've protected. Thank you in advance
For time limited app in your case, you would select all apps other than Contacts app (do not select system apps or apps such as XYZ launcher, which may cause excessive blocking) and set allowed time slot as 0:00-7:00 and 15:00-23:59.
It basically means that you want to restrict all app except for Contacts during 7am to 3pm. Please note that time-limited app time slots are "allowed" times and therefore the settings mentioned earlier.
