AllAnswered supports three types of communities - open, closed and private. For users under Team plan, all three types are available to them. For users under Public plan, only open and closed are available.

Public Plan:

Open community,

  • Anyone can join the community and ask questions
  • Anyone can view the community contents
  • Community contents are indexed by search engine
  • Suitable for product support, open source project, public forum or Q&A discussion board

Closed community,

  • Users can join the community only by invitation from the community administrators or with an approved email domain
  • Anyone can view the community contents
  • Community contents are indexed by search engine
  • Suitable for different groups such as school classes, seminars/workshops, meetup groups

Team Plan:
(All posts of a team are only visible to team members.)

Open community,

  • Any team member can join the community and ask questions
  • All team members can view the community contents

Closed community,

  • Team members can join the community only by invitation from the community moderator
  • All team members can view the community contents

Private community,

  • Team members can join the community only by invitation from the community moderator
  • Community content can only be viewed by community members
