Hello All,

I am new to FEniCS and would like to learn more about deriving variational formulation for the set of PDEs related to my study in biomechanics. I will be very grateful if someone could please suggest a good book or reference for this.

Thank you very much in advance for your guidance.

What is the exact problem that you are targeting ?. For some nonlinear biomechanics problems there are repositories available on GitHub which host fenics codes and examples. It may help you to start.

You should probably start with the FEniCS Book. It starts by deriving the variational form of the Poisson equation.

The question of solving systems of PDE's gets more complicated. You'll want a good understanding of scalar problems first.
