Verizon Samsung s6 sync problems

I have several problems with my Samsung S6 on Verizon. I have been a funamo user and big fan for about 3 years, but things just aren't working right with this S6 since we got it several months ago.    It will not manually sync if I send a sync request from the Funamo webpage.  It only syncs at night through the one time per night auto sync process.

Additionally, the Funamo browser doesn't seem to work at all.  It gives some kind of server error. 

Finally, the S6 has a built in news feed if you swipe left on the home screen.  I can't get this built in app disabled.  I can't even limit my kid's time on it.  

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
