locked out - email address not recognized when clicking "forgot password"

I used to have a friend manage my account, but tried to switch it to another friend. We logged in on funamo.com, and then changed the email address (in the "Profile") to the new friend's email. Now the password doesn't work with either email address for funamo.com OR on the Android app. Even worse - if we click "forgot password" and enter either email address - it says "Password recovery failed. There is no such username/email registered in the system." So we cannot access the account on funamo.com OR on the phone... everything is stuck. Help!
