I'm so frustrated! The device is set with location on, I first had it to track using gps and wifi, then I tried gps only. Basically I have tried everything and there is no reason why funamo shoild not be able to track the device. I even clicked "force gps". But funamo doesn't show where the device really is. Even testing with the device in my hands it doesn't show it is at my address.

Please be clear with your question. In your title you said that Funamo is not accurately tracking location, but from your description, it seems that Funamo is not tracking location at all. Is this a phone or tablet? If you only enabled GPS and wifi, it may not work all the time. Wifi location is not reliable. GPS, if you are indoors and your device will not be able to connect to the satellite. So it may not work all the time. If the device is a phone, please enable mobile network for location. It is not as accurate as GPS but as long as you have cell signal, you will have location. Funamo would automatically fall back to mobile network if no GPS signal.

The device is a sansung galaxy j3 phone. There are 3 options for location. 1 using gps, wifi, and mobile network, 2 using wifi and mobile network, 3 using gps only. I have had it set to the first option. The first few days it seemed ok. I could see when my child was at work and when he was at home it pinpointed him at home. But recently it wasn't showimg him at work when I know he was. The location was still pinpointed to home. As soon as he leaves home it stops tracking in front of our house. Could he be turning something off or countering my attempts to track? I put "force gps" on the funamo settings. Even stranger, since last night funamo is pinpointing the location to half a mile north of my home. Doesn't matter if the phone is home or at my child's work. And as I stated in an earlier email, there are pinpoints on the map as far as 3 hours away and the device definitely wasnt there. This phone is brand new. I have set the location as described. Why am I not getting accurate locations?

Sorry, I don't work at Funamo. I just use Funamo myself. I don't know you already have previous email exchange with their support already.

I should also mentiom that I found out he was turning his data off and thought that was the only problem, but even after I turned the data on it still is showing the random location a half mile away.

Ah, that might be the issue. If mobile data is turned off, location service using mobile network would not work. So that explains why no location when he leaves your house. If he turns off both GPS and mobile data, and of course there is no wifi after he leaves your house, there will be no location data. Regarding accuracy, GPS is the most accurate, less than 5 meters or so. Mobile network is less, accuracy is about 1 mile. Wifi is the worst and it can be off by quite a bit. So if you see half mile away from the actual location, it is normal if GPS is not being used. Hope it helps.
